CHARLESTON, Ill. – Eastern Illinois freshman athlete Jaimee Roy will continue her track and field season on Thursday as she competes at the USA Junior Track and Field National Championships hosted by Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Roy will compete at 1 p.m. on Thursday afternoon after she was among fifteen ladies selected to compete. Roy earned the spot based on her season best mark of 19'9.50” which was posted at the SIUE Gateway Classic back on April 17. That distance landed Roy with the second best mark in EIU school history and also earned her a berth in the NCAA Regional where she placed 47th.
