MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Sunday may quickly become Eastern Illinois men's soccer favorite day of the week as the Panthers wrapped up their two-game swing through the Pittsburgh area with a 2-1 overtime win at Robert Morris.

EIU improved to 2-2 under first year head coach Kiki Lara.  The Panthers handed Robert Morris its first defeat of the season as RMU fell to 3-1.  EIU will host Wright State at 1 p.m. next Saturday at Lakeside Field for the Panthers home opener.

RMU had the first three scoring chances of the contest with EIU goalkeeper Mike Novotny making three good saves early on.  Novotny would finish the game with seven saves as RMU held an 8-4 shots on goal advantage.

EIU was able to crack the scoreboard first as Tony Meza held a clearance attempt by RMU in the box and hit home a shot from 18 yards out just inside the left post in the 38th minute.

RMU tied the match at 1-1 in the 50th minute as Lucas Puntillo blasted a ball into the net from 40 yards out.

RMU had a shot to win the game in the final minute but a shot inside the goal box was blocked by a defender out of bounds.  A header by RMU was high on the following corner kick.

EIU put the game away in the first overtime as Justin Oliver connected with brother Tyler Oliver for the game winner in the 98th minute.  Tyler Oliver scored just inside the right post.
