INDIANAPOLIS – Eastern Illinois women's soccer had its three match win streak snapped on Friday evening losing on a penalty kick, 1-0,  at Marian (Ind.) University.

EIU fell to 5-4-1 on the season.  Marian improved to 5-3 on the year.

The lone goal of the match came for Marian's Courtney Denney as she sent home a penalty kick at the 60:59 mark of the match.

EIU and Marian both had eight total shots in the match with EIU registering four shots on goal by Hannah Heinz, Kate Olson, Kayla Stolfa and Niondina Nystrom.

EIU opens Ohio Valley Conference play on Sunday at home hosting SIUE at 1 p.m. at Lakeside Field.
