In our new weekly feature, we take a look into some of the top five lists from the history of Eastern Illinois Athletics. These lists are based on actual ranking by the statistic or category listed with quick information on each of those on the Top 5 ranking

This week we add in a special Top 5 Tuesday to look at the NCAA All-Time leaders in Consecutives Games With A 3-pointer Made. 
 
Mack Smith (Eastern Illinois): Mack Smith tied the NCAA Record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made on Dec. 12 against Western Illinois as he extended is active streak to 88 straight games to move into a tie in the NCAA record book with Cory Bradford.  Smith was scheduled to attempt to break the record on Monday, Dec. 21 before the Panthers game at SIUE was postponed due to OVC COVID-19 protocols.  Smith instead will attempt to break the record in the same gym where he started his streak four-years ago when EIU plays Dec. 30 at Eastern Kentucky.  Smith began his streak on Jan. 6, 2018 with a 2-for-3 night against the Colonels in McBrayer Arena.
 
Cory Bradford (Illinois): Cory Bradford held the NCAA Record at 88 games by himself for nearly 20 years.  Bradford was a sharpshooter for the Illini whose streak began on Nov. 11, 1998 against Georgetown and ended on Feb. 10, 2001 against Purdue.  Bradford finished his Illinois playing career as the program's leader in 3-pointers made with 327 while scoring 1,735 points to rank sixth in program history.
 
Jordan Howard (Central Arkansas): Jordan Howard was a prolific scorer playing for Central Arkansas from 2014-18.  He ranks tied for third on the NCAA list for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made at 73.  Howard's streak came to an end when his career finished playing for the Bears in 2018.  Howard ranks as the program's career leader in points (2,524) and 3-pointers made (386).
 
Wally Lancaster (Virginia Tech): Wally Lancaster was the first long term holder of the NCAA Record for consecutive games with a 3-pointer made setting the mark while playing for Virginia Tech during the early days of the 3-point shot.  Lancaster set the mark at 73 straight games and held it from 1989 until 2001 when Cory Bradford passed him.  Lancaster is currently tied for third on the list.  He finished his days playing for the Hokies with 1,696 career points while setting the school single season record for 3-pointers made with 106.
 
Jaylen Minnett (IUPUI): Jaylen Minnett is currently fifth on the NCAA list for consecutive games with a made 3-pointer and is the second player on the NCAA top five that is active this season.  Minnett is a senior at IUPUI and currently has made a 3-pointer in 68 straight games.  Minnett will look to extend his streak on Jan. 1 against Cleveland State.  So far this season IUPUI has only been able to play two games through the opening month of the season.
