Biography
2009: Anne played in just four games over the course of the year... but was able to tie or set new career single-game highs... that includes scoring her first-ever try and points at Ball State... and tied her assisted tackle tally in the same game as EIU won 90-0.
2008: Anne played in five games, earning three solo stops versus Iowa State and one steals-at-tackle in EIU’s revenge win at West Chester....
2007: Played in seven contests... had her best performance in the historic game versus West Chester, scoring six solo and four assisted tackles....
HS: Was a member of the cross country, football, basketball, track and softball squads at Evergreen Park HS... earned the basketball sportsmanship award and named softball team captain her senior year....
PERSONAL: Anne’s mom, Janice Quinn, has been the biggest influence on her sports careeer, “because she has always supported me with everything I do”... pre-engineering major... admires Coach Graziano, “because he does his very best to make sure that everyone knows what is going on as well as pushing them to do their very best with everything they do”....
FUN FACTS: ‘Anna Banana’ is an avid Chicago Cubs fan... chose to come to EIU, “because it had the major I wanted, along with the sports I wanted to play”... her black lab is named ‘Maicie’... Lantz Arena is her favorite building on campus... since coming to EIU she has learned “many rthings that will help me to succeed in the classroom, as well as in life”... enjoys writing, bike riding and star gazing... her advice to a younger athlete is “never give up, no matter how hard things get”....
