#Stephanie Maday# of softball and #Shannon Brooks# of women's tennis have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Maday helped pitch the Panthers to a split at the Lipscomb Tournament.  She tossed a four-hit shut out against Butler with 12 strike outs.  Against Appalachian State she added 1.1 innings of scoreless relief with two additional strike outs.

Brooks helped the Panthers pick up a a pair of wins over Bradley and IUPUI.  She posted wins in both of her singles matches for the week and helped capture the doubles point in both contests.
