EIU ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT GRADUATE ASSISTANTSHIPS INFORMATION
The Eastern Illinois University Athletic Department offers a number of graduate assistantships in its athletic department ranging from athletic teams, media relations/marketing, operations, strength & conditioning and athletic training. Positions are offered to competitive applicants and usually occur during the spring semester. Assistantships are contingent on applicants being accepted into a graduate program at Eastern Illinois with most programs requiring a minimum 3.0 GPA.

b) QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience working or interning in college athletics or competing as a collegiate student-athlete is preferred but not required for positions. Some graduate assistant positions, such as those in athletic training, may require additional certifications to apply.
c) TIMELINE: Postings for open graduate assistant positions in the EIU Athletic Department are normally posted in early February on the NCAA employment site.  Students must apply and be accepted to graduate school before a formal offer for a position can be made.
