#Zye Boey# of men's indoor track and #Mike Hoekstra# of baseball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Boey became the Panthers 10th indoor track All-American as he placed 7th at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday evening in the 200m dash.  Boey ran a time of 21.55 in the finals.

Hoekstra was effective on the mound against Alabama as he worked seven innings scattering seven hits and allowing two runs to the Crimson Tide.  He would strike out seven while not walking any batters.
