Olivia Klaus from women’s cross country and Bradley LaRocque from men’s cross country have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Klaus placed fourth overall and second among collegiate competitors as the EIU Panther women placed second at the Walt Crawford EIU Open. Klaus ran a 5K time of 18:09.31 which was the third fastest EIU time ever on the Panther Trail and ranks 10^th all-time on the EIU 5K women’s list.

LaRocque helped pace the men’s team to a team championship at the Walt Crawford EIU Open as he placed fourth in the field. LaRocque posted a time of 25:14.40 on the 8K course as the Panthers used that strong finish to break into the USTFCCCA Midwest Region rankings this week.
