David Lawrence from men's golf and Scott Weatherford from football have been named the EIU Student-Athletes of the Week.

Lawrence picked up first place honors at the Wasioto Winds Fall Tournament shooting an eight-under par 208 in the season opening tournament.  Lawrence helped the Panthers place fourth overall in the tournament.

Weatherford was named the OVC Special Teams Player of the Week after averaging 44.8 yards per punt against Tennessee Tech.  He pinned two punts inside the 20 and had a long punt of 60 yards.  Weatherford is currnently ranked 28th in the FCS in punting average.
