Tavares Crawford from football and Jessie Morgan from women's soccer have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Crawford helped keep the Panthers in the game at Southeast Missouri with his special teams play.  He returned five kicks for 190 yards including an 83-yard kick return for touchdown in the second quarter.  He currently ranks 7th in the FCS in kick return average.

Morgan found the back of the net on Sunday at UT Martin lifting the Panthers to a 1-0 road win against the Skyhawks.  It was the first goal of the season for Morgan and marked the first road win of the year for the Panthers.  EIU is now 3-1 in the OVC.
