Alfonzo McKinnie of men's basketball and Kelsey Wyss of women's basketball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

McKinnie helped the Panthers pick up a pair of wins over in-state schools Loyola-Chicago and Northern Illinois.  He averaged 12.5 points and 7 rebounds per game with 5 blocked shots.  McKinnie shot 60 percent from the field and 77 percent from the line.

Wyss knocked down a 3-pointer in the final seconds to knock off Bradley on the road.  Wyss finished with only six points coming on two 3-pointers, but her final basket of the day proved to be the game winner with 10 seconds left.
