Ta'Kenya Nixon and Mariah King both from women's basketball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Nixon averaged 14.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per game during the Panthers contests over the Christmas holiday. She had 18 points and 8 rebounds in the recent win over Northern Illinois.

King averaged 12 points and 7.6 rebounds per game during the Panthers games over the Christmas break. She had 18 points and six rebounds in the recent win over Northern Illinois.
