Zye Boey from men's indoor track and Ta'Kenya Nixon from women's basketball have been selected the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Boey won the 200m sprint event at the Notre Dame Meyo marking his fourth win in that event this year.  He was second in the 60m in a competitive field finishing 0.02 seconds behind the winner.  His winning 200m time was 21.12.

Nixon helped the Panthers win all three games last week as the junior averaged 18 points and four assists per game.  Nixon had a high of 24 points during the week.  EIU has won 12 straight games heading into the week.
