Janelle Prisner from women's tennis and Christian Slazinik from baseball were selected as the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Prisner helped the Panthers picked up a victory over in-state rival Bradley playing at number one singles and number one doubles.  Prisner picked up the number one singles point in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1.  She teamed with Merritt Whitley to win the number one doubles point 8-2.

Slazinik was named the OVC Pitcher of the Week following a solid performance in the Panthers win over South Florida.  The left-hander worked eight shut out innings against the Bulls allowing one hit while striking out six.  Slazinik has a 1.93 ERA for the season.
