Ryan Dineen from baseball and Britney Whitehead from women's outdoor track have been selected as the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Dineen helped set the table for the Panthers baseball team hitting .568 for the week including a 4-for-4 day at the plate in the win over Southeast Missouri as the Panthers won the weekend OVC series. Dineen scored seven runs and added six RBI for the week.

Whitehead won the steeplechase at the EIU Big Blue Classic over the weekend running the event for the first time this season. Whitehead won with a time of 11:00.51. That time ranks fourth best on the EIU career list.
