Zye Boey from men's track and Mike Hoekstra from baseball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Boey punched his ticket for the NCAA Track National Championships for the third time in his career as he qualified in both the 100m and 200m dash at the NCAA West Regional.  Boey ran a time of 10.15 in 100m and 20.37 in the 200m.

Hoekstra helped the Panthers reach the championship game of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament over the weekend.  Hoekstra worked 16.2 innings without allowing an earned run as he started two contests during the weekend.
