Chavar Watkins from football and Reynae Hutchinson from volleyball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Watkins had a career day in the Panthers win at Tennessee Tech hauling in seven passes for a 140 yards. Watkins scored EIU's first touchdown on a 61-yard reception from Jimmy Garoppolo as EIU won its third straight game.

Hutchinson posted three straight double-double efforts during the week including helping EIU sweep a pair of road OVC matches on the weekend. In Saturday's win at Tennessee Tech Hutchinson had 20 kills, 10 digs and four blocks.
