Josh Piper from men's basketball and Erik Lora from football have been selected as the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Piper helped the Panthers post a 2-2 record including scoring a career high 28 points in EIU's first win of the season at the ICE Man Classic in Michigan. Piper averaged 14.8 points per game shooting 51 percent from the field. He was 10-of-10 from the free throw line.

Lora ended the football regular season with nine catches at Central Arkansas as he became the FCS single season leader in receptions with 124. Lora leads the nation in both receptions and receiving yards this year as EIU makes its 14th FCS playoff appearance.
