Sherman Blanford from men's basketball and Mariah King from women's basketball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Blanford scored in double figures in both of EIU's contests during the week averaging 13 points per game.  He was the team leader pulling down 8.5 rebounds per game.  Blanford added six assists.

King was consistent for the Panthers all week earning All-Tournament honors at the Dayton Tournament.  She had two double figure scoring games to average 11.3 points per game with 6.6 rebounds per game.
