Mariah King from women's basketball and Bryce Basting from men's track have been selected as the EIU student-athletes of the week.

King helped the Panthers remain in first place in the OVC West Division with wins over UT Martin and SIU Edwardsville.  She scored 23 points in both wins while shooting 61 percent from the field.  King averaged 6.5 rebounds per game.

Basting placed fourth in a competitive 800m field at the Notre Dame Meyo.  His time of 1:50.13 is the third fastest time in school history in that event.  Basting currently ranks 26th in the NCAA in the 800m this season.
