Nick Priessman from baseball and Britney Whitehead from women's outdoor track have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Priessman hit .563 from the plate helping the Panthers picked up four home wins including a weekend sweep over Murray State. The outfielder had three doubles, three runs scored while driving in nine.

Whitehead won the 1500m race and was the top collegiate finisher in the 800m over the weekend as the Panthers competed at the Miami of Ohio Invite. Both of Whitehead's times in those two events rank her in the career top ten at EIU.
