Brant Valach from baseball and Erika Ramos from women's track have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Valach helped power the Panthers to a 4-0 week with wins over Indiana State and a series sweep a Morehead State.  Valach hit .667 for the week with six runs scored, eight RBI and three doubles.

Ramos placed first in the women's 800m running at the Louisville Twilight meet on Friday.  Ramos posted a career best time of 2:07.35 in the race which ranks third best on the EIU career list.
