Eastern Illinois athletics has announced its male and female athletes for the month of September with men’s soccer senior Mick Galeski and women’s rugby junior Molly Clutter being honored.
 
Mick Galeski (5-11, Senior, Midfielder, Blackburn, England)
Galeski, a midfielder from Blackburn, England, has helped the Panthers off to their best start in more than a decade at 7-2-1 scoring two goals and adding four assists.  He was named the MVP of the Bradley Classic and was an All-Tournament selection at the UMKC Tournament.  Galeski was also named the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week on Sept. 4.
 
Molly Clutter (5-2, Junior, Center, Rossville, Ill.)
Clutter, a center from Rossville, Ill., made NCAA history on Sept. 15 as she became the first player to score during the Panthers inaugural NCAA rugby contest against West Chester University.  Clutter would account for two tries in the game giving her six tries for the month.  EIU rugby is off to a 2-2 start.
