Austin Sproles from men's golf and Taylor Duncan from football have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Sproles placed fifth as an individual last week as the Panthers competed at the Butler Fall Invitational. He began the tournament in first place carding an opening round 68. Sproles finished with a two-round total of 143.

Duncan helped pace the Panthers ground game during a 63-7 win at Austin Peay. He rushed for a career high 128 yards with two touchdowns. He averaged 7.5 yards per carry. Duncan added five catches for 41 yards to finish with 1690 all-purpose yards.
