Adam Drake and Jimmy Garoppolo both from football have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Drake hauled in a career high 14 passes for 225 yards during the Panthers 70-22 win over UT Martin. The junior set the pace early in the game scoring three touchdowns in the opening quarter. The 225 yards was the fifth best individual day in school history.

Garoppolo added six more touchdowns to his season total as he passed for 477 yards in the win over UT Martin. Garoppolo helped the Panthers finished with 70 points, third most in school history and 704 yards of total offense, second most in school history. He was named the OVC Offensive Player of the Year on Nov. 26.
