Chris Olivier from men's basketball and Sabina Oroszova from women's basketball have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Olivier helped EIU win its OVC opener making the game winning basket on a tip in in the final seconds of regulation. Olivier finished with 14 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks in the win.

Oroszova powered EIU to its eighth straight OVC opening win as she finished with 26 points, 14 rebounds and 5 blocks. She shot 50 percent from the field collecting her third straight double-double.
