Hannah Vieth from women’s rugby and Nick Bruno from football have been named the EIU student-athletes of the week.

Vieth led the Panthers squad with six points as she converted three, two-point conversions after scores during the Panthers 31-17 win over Tennessee. Vieth made all three first half two-point conversion attempts as EIU built a 21-7 lead. Vieth now has nine points this season.

Bruno made both of his field goal attempts during the Panthers game at FBS member Ohio on Saturday. Bruno added one extra point as he is a perfect 16-of-16 on attempts this season. Bruno leads the Panthers in scoring this season with 28 points.
