Anthony Goodman from football and Breanna Young from women's rugby have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Goodman helped break open a close game against Tennessee State as he intercepted a pass and raced 46 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter to make it a 14-3 game.   Goodman was named the OVC Defensive Player of the Week as he scored his third career touchdown on defense and special teams.   He finished the game with four tackles and one pass break-up as EIU won its homecoming game 28-3.

Young turned in a dominating performance as the women's rugby team won 63-5 on the Purdue over the weekend.  Young had the first four scores of the match for the Panthers finishing with a total of seven tries.   The 35 points in the contest were the fifth most in a single match in school history.   Young is now the team leader this season in both points and tries.
