Norvel Mohammed from men's track and Alece Shumpert from women's basketball have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Mohammed turned in solid performances as the Panthers competed at the Grand Valley Big Meet on Friday.  Mohammed won the men's 200m dash with a time of 21.23 which ranks fifth on the Panthers all-time list and 34th in the nation this season.  Mohammed was second in the 400m dash with a time of 47.23.

Shumpert came off the bench at Austin Peay and turned in a career performance.  She was 4-of-4 from 3-point range in the first half and finished the game 5-of-6 from beyond the arc for a career high 18 points.  Shumpert played 25 minutes against the Lady Govs after playing a total of 22 minutes the entire season prior to that game.
