Christian Ilunga-Matthiesen from men's track and Jessica Wireman from softball have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Ilunga-Matthiesen helped the Panther men turn in a first place team finish at the WIU Lee Calhoun Memorial Meet.  He won the 100m dash with a time of 10.59 which is the third fastest 100m time in the OVC this season.  He later ran the anchor leg on the first place 4x100m relay team that posted a time of 41.18.

Wireman tossed a no-hitter for the Panthers softball team during its series win over UT Martin last weekend.  Wireman came back on Sunday to win the deciding game as she had a 1.79 ERA with three complete games.  For the week opponents hit just .189 against the freshman pitcher.
