Demetre Taylor from baseball and Annemarie Reid from women's track have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Taylor hit .714 last week including a .800 average during the Panthers weekend series win over Eastern Kentucky. Taylor was named the OVC Player of the Week going 10-for-14 at the plate with one double, one triple and one home run. Taylor drove home six runs and reached base another three times on walks. He is sixth in the OVC with a .364 batting average.

Reid placed first in the pole vault on Wednesday as the Panthers competed in the Indiana State Midweek Open. Reid won the event clearing a height of 12'9.50" which moved her up to third on the EIU career top ten list. She currently leads the OVC in the pole vault this season.
