#Lorence Ricks# was named the Eastern Illinois Student Athlete of the Week. Ricks is a sophomore majoring in physical education. Ricks was named the National Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the Panthers 28-20 win over No. 12 Jacksonville State. Ricks returned a kick off 87 yards for a score, blocked a punt that set up another EIU touchdown and forced a fumble on a punt late in the fourth quarter.
