Eastern Illinois Athletics has named Collin Seibert from football and Sabina Oroszova from women's basketball as the 2015 EIU Male and Female Senior Athletes of the Year.   The award, which has been presented since 2008, honors the top male and female senior EIU athletes based on both their career and senior season accomplishments.  Five finalists were announced for each award at the EIU Academic/Athletic Honors Banquet in April.  The winners were voted on by a panel in June.

Seibert helped anchor the Panthers offensive line for four seasons as the Panthers made two FCS playoff appearances in 2012 and 2013.  Seibert was a consensus first team All-American at guard as a senior earning honors from the Associated Press, Sports Network, Walter Camp and the American Football Coaches Association.  During his senior season he earned first team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors for the third straight season becoming only the fourth player in school history to earn first team All-OVC honors three times.  Following his senior season Seibert was invited to play in both the Conquistador Bowl All-Star Game and the College Gridiron Classic.  As a junior Seibert earned first team All-American honors by Sports Network and was a candidate for the FCS ADA Offensive Lineman of the Year honor.

Oroszova was one of the most well rounded players in the Ohio Valley Conference over the past two seasons earning first team All-OVC honors as a senior and second team honors as a junior.  As a senior she was named a second team Mid-Major All-American by CollegeSportsMadness.  She finished her career ranked second on the EIU career list in blocks with 184 and rebounds with 960, which also ranked 15th on the OVC all-time list.  She was scored 1,279 career points.  Over the last two seasons she led the OVC in rebounding both years while ranking in the top five in the league in both scoring and blocked shots.  She finished her career with 34 double-doubles with 58 career double figure scoring games.  Oroszova set the EIU single game record for both blocked shots (6) and points scored (38).
