Jessica Wireman from softball and Rachel Garippo from women's track have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Wireman was named the Ohio Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance in the win over Eastern Kentucky.  Wireman tossed a complete game 12-inning shut out to hand the Colonels their first loss of the year.  She struck out 22 batters, the second highest single game total in the NCAA this season.

Garippo posted a strong time for the women's track team in weekend action at the Indiana State Gibson Invitational.  She was second in the steeplechase with a time of 10:46.15.  The time ranks third on the EIU career list and is the top time in the OVC this season.  She currently ranks 47th in the NCAA West Region.
