Kylie Bennett from softball and Janie Howse from women's track have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Bennett helped power the Panthers to a big series win over SIU Edwardsville as EIU clinched a spot in the upcoming OVC Tournament.  Bennett was 4-of-8 at the plate driving home four runs in the two weekend wins.  Bennett added scored two runs while connecting for two doubles and two home runs.

Howse competed in two throws events at the Valpo Crusader Invite placing first in the hammer throw and second in the discus.  Her winning mark in the hammer measured 170'7" which ranks as the second best hammer throw in school history.  Howse currently ranks third in the OVC in the hammer throw this season.
