Matt Wivinis from baseball and Eric Gordon from men's track have been named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Wivinis helped pitch EIU to a weekend Ohio Valley Conference series win over Morehead State.  After falling in game one of th series, Wivinis evened the series throwing 6.2 innings while allowing just one run as the Panthers picked up a 5-1 win.  He scattered five hits with one walk while striking out seven batters.  

Gordon won the pole vault at the EIU Panther Twilight over the weekend easily beating the field by two feet.  His final height was 16'10" which ranks as the sixth best pole vault height in school history.  He heads into this weekend's OVC Championship ranking first in the OVC in both the pole vault and javelin.
