Mitch Kimble from football and Maria Baldwin from women's cross country were named the Back To Health EIU student-athletes of the week.

Kimble was named the OVC Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Week in the conference after leading the Panthers to a 21-17 win over FBS member Miami (Ohio).  Kimble passed for 150 yards including a 7-yard touchdown pass to Devin Church with 56 seconds remaining that gave the Panthers their sixth win over an FBS school.  Kimble led the Panthers in rushing with 49 yards.

Baldwin was the Panthers top finisher in a competitive field at the Illinois State Country Financial Invite.  The junior placed fourth and was one of four runners with a sub-18 minute time in the field.  Baldwin was named the co-OVC Female Runner of the Week, winning the award for the second straight week this season.  She helped lead EIU to a fourth place finish.
