#Mike Recchia# is the Student-Athlete of the Week after helping EIU shutout Austin Peay in the series-opening victory at Coaches Stadium April 2. He was also named the OVC Pitcher of the Week after giving up only one hit, a two-out single in the fourth inning, over 7 1/3 innings. He struck out seven. Recchia has now pitched 17 1/3 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to March 18.
