#Sam Balek# a junior defender went the distance at center back in both EIU shutouts during the season-opening weekend homestand. The Panthers blanked both IUPUI and Evansville to open a new season 2-0 for the first time since 2001. The women's soccer team did not give up a first-half corner kick and only eight shots on goal in the two games.
