#Kevin Cook# and #Olivia Klaus# were named the EIU Student-Athletes of the Week following their recent performances. Cook was honored as the male athlete of the week following his special teams play against Southeast Missouri. The senior punter averaged 50.2 yards per punt including an 86-yard punt that set the EIU NCAA Division I school record. Cook was named the OVC Special Teams Player of the Week on Sunday. Klaus helped lead the women’s cross country team to a seventh place finish at the Notre Dame Invite. Klaus placed 12^th in the event with a time 18:18, the best time by an EIU runner at the Notre Dame Invite.
