#Jimmy Garoppolo# of football and #Ken Tiltges# of men's swimming have been named the EIU Student-Athletes of the Week.

Garoppolo had his best effort to date as the freshman quarterback threw for 341 yards and four touchdowns against Murray State on Saturday. Garoppolo was named the OVC Newcomer of the Week for football.

Tiltges helped the Panthers open the season with a 2-0 start as they picked up wins over IUPUI and Ball State. He had three individual wins and two wins on relay teams for EIU. Two of his individual wins came in the 200 freestyle.
