Eastern Illinois vs. Austin Peay

THE GAME
Eastern Illinois hosts Austin Peay for the Panthers final regular-season home game on Saturday afternoon. The Oct. 30 home date marks the first time since 1970 that EIU has not played a home game in November. The Panthers played their final regular-season home game that year on Oct. 31 with a 58-34 loss to Central Michigan. 

EIU fell to 0-8 on the year, 0-6 on the season with a loss to Murray State on Saturday. The loss marked the first time EIU had lost a homecoming contest since the 1999 season. EIU has two OVC contests remaining and one non-conference tilt with Illinois State. 

Austin Peay fell to 2-5, 1-3 in the OVC over the weekend as they lost on the road at Jacksonville State 56-3. The Governors will end the season playing four straight OVC contests.

THE SERIES
This will mark the 11th meeting between Eastern Illinois and Austin Peay. The Panthers hold a 7-3 all-time series advantage with a 3-1 record with both teams playing as members of the OVC. EIU and Austin Peay first met in 1958 and have played six times as non-conference opponents. EIU defeated APSU twice when the Panthers first joined the league in 1996. Following the 1997 season APSU played non-scholarship football until 2007.
