JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Eastern Illinois had two players score 22 points as the Panthers entered the holiday break on a two-game win streak following a 76-44 win over Air Force on Saturday.
EIU improved to 5-6 and will open Ohio Valley Conference play next Saturday at 4:15 p.m. against Tennessee State. Air Force dropped to 1-9.
Sabina Oroszova and Katlyn Payn each scored 22 points in the game as EIU shot 50 percent from the field and 60 percent from 3-point range.
The Panthers led 36-26 at the half and quickly extended that lead in the second half.
Oroszova had 22 points and 12 rebounds as EIU held a 41-30 rebound margin.
Payne made 6-of-11 from 3-point range in the win as she moved into 10th on the EIU career 3-pointers made list.
EIU made 12 3-pointers.
Jordyne Crunk added four made 3-pointers to finish with 14 points.
Jimi Blagowsky led Air Force with 16 points.
