FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Junior Mick Viken placed eighth in the pole vault at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday evening.
 
Viken scored one point for the Panthers as he cleared 17'8.5”. Andrew Irwin of Arkansas captured the title in the event as the junior posted a height of 18'8.25”.
 
Teammate Jade Riebold will compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships at 5:30 p.m. in the women's pole vault.
