GAME 11
Eastern Illinois returns to action following final exams with two games on the road prior to the holiday break.  EIU opens the two game swing on Saturday afternoon at Indiana State.   EIU will then travel to Cleveland State for a Tuesday afternoon game.  The Panthers improved to 4-6 on the season with a 59-55 win over Northern Illinois.   The win was the third in the last four games for EIU including a pair of home wins over opponents from the Mid-American Conference.  Indiana State is also 4-6 on the season following a home win over Truman State on Tuesday night.  The win snapped a five game losing streak for ISU.  The Sycamores are 3-2 at home in the Hulman Center this year.

PANTHERS DEFENSE STANDS OUT
Eastern Illinois limited Northern Illinois to 30 percent shooting from the field and 55 points during the recent EIU win over NIU.  It marked the third time in the last four games that EIU has held an opponent to 55 points or less and to 32 percent or less in field goal percentage.   EIU currently leads the OVC in both categories allowing 60.4 points per game and 40.7 percent shooting from the field.  EIU has won three of its last four games all coming from the defensive effort.

TWO THREATS FROM 3-POINT RANGE
LeTrell Viser and Dylan Chatman both knocked down four 3-pointers in the win over Northern Illinois.  They give the Panthers a pair of 3-point shooting guards as Viser ranks 9th in the OVC and Chatman 10th in the league in 3-point shooting this season.   Chatman has made 20 3's while Viser has 17 made 3-pointers.
