CHARLESTON – Dr. Dan Nadler, Eastern Illinois' Vice President for Student Affairs, has been appointed the Interim Athletic Director by the University's President William Perry.
 
Nadler will serve as the interim athletic director in addition to remaining in his vice presidential role as former athletic director Barbara Burke departs for Tulane.  Burke will take over as the Deputy Director of Athletics/Chief Operating Officer beginning on Monday, April 28.
 
In addition to Dr. Nadler taking over as interim athletic director, President Perry has also announced that Bob Martin, Vice President for University Advancement, will serve as the chair of the athletic director search committee.  Any questions concerning the search for Eastern Illinois next athletic director should be directed to Bob Martin via email at rmartin@eiu.edu
