CHARLESTON, Ill. – The all-time leading scorer in Eastern Illinois and Ohio Valley Conference history Henry Domercant is returning for a 12th season of professional basketball as he has signed to play with Pasta Reggie JuveCaserta in the Italian Series A League. Domercant played the last two seasons as a member of Galatasaray in the Turkish Professional League. He helped the team advance to both the league and super cup finals. He also appeared in 27 games in Euroleague as the team advanced to the quarterfinal round.
Domercant is a previous Eurobasket.com All-VTB League Player of the Year. He has played professionally in Greece (Olympiacos), Russia (Spartak St.Petersburg, Dynamo Moscow and Unics Kazan), Turkey (Anadolu Efes and Karsiyaka) and Italy (Montepaschi Siena). Having dual citizenship, Domercant played for Bosnia in the European Championships four years ago averaging 13.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game while shooting 54 percent from 3-point range in the championships.
In addition to Domercant returning to play overseas, former EIU All-OVC guard Tyler Laser is set to return to Europe this year. Laser will play for Yambol in Bulgaria. Last season Laser averaged 17.4 points per game.
