DETROIT – Former Eastern Illinois wide receiver Erik Lora has signed with the Detroit Lions and will attend camp as part of the NFL franchises 90-man roster. Lora was one of 31 players at the Lions mini-camp this weekend that were attempting to win one of five open spots in camp.

Lora was a two-time, first team All-American at Eastern Illinois and signed a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings last season. He was waived from the roster during the NFL exhibition season. Lora set the FCS single season receptions record as a junior and twice finished in the top ten for voting for the Walter Payton Award. He finished his career with 332 receptions for 4,006 yards.   He was the OVC Offensive Player of the Year in 2012 making 136 catches.
