GAME 2
The Eastern Illinois women's basketball team heads to Evansville Monday afternoon for their first road test of the season. The Panthers take on the Purple Aces after winning their season opener over Millikin in spectacular fashion 97-54. EIU will look to earn their first road win since Feb. 18, 2015 after being shut out on the road all last season. Evansville hosts EIU after dropping their season opener to Cleveland State 66-62.

HIGH FIVE
Monday evening's season opener was a showcase for EIU as five Panthers scored in double-digits. This was the first time EIU has had five players earn double figures since Dec. 31 last season at Tennessee Tech. None of the Panthers that scored double-digits against Millikin earned double figures last season at TTU. Jennifer Nehls and Allison Van Dyke began their Panther careers netting 12 and 13 points respectively while Brittin Boyer tied her career high with 10 points. Interestingly enough Boyer set her career high in last year's season opener against IUPUI. Erica Brown and Jalisha Smith round out the top scorers for EIU earning 14 and 11 points respectively in the game.

NEW KIDS ON CAMPUS
All four of EIU's freshmen earned minutes on the court Friday against Evansville. The freshmen combined for 36 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists in their debut game as a Panther. Both Allison Van Dyke and Jennifer Nehls scored in the double-digits while Zharia Lenoir recorded nine points of her own. Danielle Berry may not have recorded a lot of points, but the Foristell, Mo. native was all over the court recording seven rebounds, second on the team only to Erica Brown, while leading the team with six steals.
